CCA Member Benefits - Making Your business Stronger

Work undertaken by the Canadian Carwash Association (CCA) Board of Directors and the office staff over the last three years has expanded the benefits offered to members. Consider these benefits added to the CCA offering:

The new Carwash ToolKit™ series, the first of which, Getting Started, was published in July of 2012.

Two more Carwash ToolKit™ are final stages of development, one on Water Reclaim and another to help operators with their interactions with Municipalities.

More hands-on carwash operations seminars are being delivered at upcoming CARWACS shows in Toronto and Calgary which members can attend for free.

Plans are also being made to deliver one to two hour online seminars, called webinars; again free for members. Two have already been posted on the Education page, one on "Make your carwash business soar!" and the other on "Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation" and it's implications for elecontric marketing. You must be logged in as a member in order to view these.

Promoting the benefits of professional carwashing over driveway washing has long been a goal of the CCA. In 2013 an effort directed at targeted municipalities was launched in London, Ontario, where major news coverage was obtained for the industry. More such events across the country are being worked on to promote the industry.

Marketing a carwash operation is not a simple task, but the CCA can help owners in specific ways:

  • Use of the CCA logo by member operators for their website helps provide a seal of approval;
  • Stickers for use on site to let customers know that you are an approved CCA site;
  • The online search engine for carwash sites is available to consumers to find member locations;

Industry statistics are now available to members through the statistics page on the website, accessible only if logged in at canadiancarwash.ca/stats. These numbers are updated quarterly and provided revenue data per machine type and per bay. revenue figures.

New member-only information is being added to the CCA website every month, providing CCA members with exclusive resources.

There are, of course, other benefits the CCA has offered in the past and continues to offer, such as:

Carwash Operators Insurance Program, providing general business insurance designed for the carwash industry with a discount for CCA members. Coverage includes:

  • General business coverage including buildings, business equipment, theft, disaster, business interruption, disaster protection and more;
  • Engineering/Boiler and Machinery Coverage;
  • Garage Automobile Policy; and,
  • Owned Automobile Policy.

The CCA insurance program is offered by Erb & Erb Insurance Brokers Limited. Download the brochure in PDF format for more information.

Wash Volume Report (WVR) is a national survey with over 1,050 sites providing their wash data to an independent research firm, Kent Group Ltd., on a confidential basis. Results are reported on a quarterly basis with national and regional breakouts. Extensive national data is available through the CCA website in a member only area, but regional data is only available to the participants of the program. Features of the program include:

  • Participation free with your CCA membership;
  • Quarterly National Report comparing your performance with carwashes across Canada;
  • Quarterly Regional Market report comparing your performance within your regional market (there are 14 regions across Canada, and participants in the respective regions are the only ones who have access to this data);
  • Identify trends and market changes that affect your business; and,
  • Compare your wash performance with that of your peers.
  • Visit the Wash Volume Report page for more specific information on it.

One of the most important benefits is the CCA’s ongoing advocacy on behalf of the industry to promote sensible, effective environmental standards and encourage supportive legislation from all levels of government.

The information provided above is just some of the benefits the CCA offers members. Add your voice to industry by joining the CCA to help the industry grow and prosper.

Join today to start receiving your benefits!
