Board of Directors - 2011/2012

Scott Murray
President
Ezee Clean Carwash 905-662-6595

After completing a business degree from the University of Western Ontario, Scott began a 16 year career in the corporate world with Imperial Tobacco both in Canada and the United States. As General Manager in the USA, Scott used his management and entrepreneurial skills to turn the division into a profitable entity with a focus on consumers' needs. Upon his return to Canada he researched the carwash industry in southern Ontario and subsequently purchased a 3 year old site in 2006, EZEE CLEAN Car Wash. Since entering the industry, Scott has focused his efforts on marketing his site, exceeding his consumers' expectations, assisting the industry with his work on the CCA board, and building a buying group for carwash owners.

Richard McKinnon
Past President
Miami Car Care
Centre Inc.
519-680-1733

Richard created Miami Car Care Centre in 2004 after completing the Business Administration Program at Wilfrid Lauier University in Waterloo.

As a Director in charge of the Manufacturing & Engineering Information Technologies for the Steel Wheel Division of a large Truck Wheel Manufacturer, Richard is no stranger to putting business plans together and making them work. His expertise was in advanced technologies that had to be developed from scratch. Richard often wondered if he could successfully launch these types of programs in a complex corporate structure, would he be able to do the same on my own. The rest is history. After successfully designing, building and opening for business in the fall of 2004, Richard has since left his position as Drector and is now a full time car wash guy, building his second operation in London. This is a facinating, well organized, professional industry with all the elements, business challenges and opportunities I was looking for.

Richard is a member of the London Chamber of Commerce, Provincial & Federal Affairs and Municipal Affairs Committee, London Small Business Loans Review Committee and Business Improvement Group Member, International Car Wash Association. Richard also operates his own SME Business Advisory Company, Business Growth Management.

JJ Woodley
Red Hill Car Wash Inc 289-244-0033

JJ Woodley started in the car wash industry directly after completing an honors B.Sc. at University of Louisiana at Monroe. Working for a company that owned 19 coin operated car washes across Southern Ontario, Woodley was charged with the responsibility of keeping the facilities running. JJ quickly learned the essentials necessary to keep a car wash operating reliably. Using his developing knowledge of the industry, he started a small car wash service and custom equipment company. JJ had great experiences with car wash owners across the province of Ontario and developed some relationships that would lead to my association with a large car wash chemical and equipment supply company. Car wash equipment development and installation became my focus over the next years until a line of coin operated car wash equipment, renowned for its function, versatility, and reliability, was born. Owning and operating my own car wash has been a long-time dream of mine which he realized in the Fall of 2006.

JJ's experience from the year 2000 to present as a service technician, equipment installer, equipment developer, equipment sales person, project manager, land developer, car wash owner / operator has given him a broad knowledge of the carwash industry and all aspects involved with getting into the game and staying there. His involvement with the CCA as a director on the Board has made him available as a resource to, and a driving force behind, the advancement of the industry.
