The Canadian Carwash Association’s (CCA) Wash Volume Report (WVR) has been released for the third quarter of 2015. It shows an average revenue per cycle increase of 2.6% compared to the 2015 second quarter, as well as being 21 cents higher over the same quarter of last year.

The actual number for the third quarter is $8.11 per cycle (wash) versus $7.92 for the second quarter of 2015, and $7.90 for the third quarter of 2014. Last year’s third quarter had grown by 3% from the previous quarter; however, the 2015 amounts are higher than those recorded in 2014.

For the third quarter of 2015, revenue per site dropped 23% compared to the 2015 second quarter revenue per site numbers. This drop is larger than the 16% drop from the second and third quarters of 2014, but it bears mentioning that the total revenue per site (RPS) in 2015 is higher than the recorded RPS in 2014.

As for the average cycles (washes) per site, the numbers for the third quarter are slightly up from last year’s results. The average cycles per site was 5,634 for the third quarter of 2015 compared to 5,152 for the same time last year. The number of wash cycles decreased by 20.6% from the previous quarter in 2015, compared to having decreased by 18.6% in the second and third quarters of 2014. The decrease for 2015 comes as a result of increased averages across the board in the second quarter of this year matched against the numbers recorded during the same period last year.

The 2015 third quarter results follow the trend of a booming 2015 which saw record numbers for both the first and second quarters. For more information on the WVR visit canadiancarwash.ca/wvr.
